An Introduction to Kyda

Kyda Therapy

Based on the principle that the body is an integrated system therefore balance is required to maintain health.

Kyda effectively identifies the cause of the imbalance and can treat, or refer to the appropriate practitioner. Kyda uses a variety of tools and skills for assessment, confirmation and treatment of issues from muscular skeletal through to emotional and empowerment.

The Philosophy

Kyda removes the cause of the issue and replaces it with balance and flow. The issue is created by stress in a number of ways:

  • Physical Injury
  • Organ Imbalance
  • Emotional
  • Life style

The body reflects the past experiences in the way that it holds it posture and the way it moves, each area of the body and its position tells a story of the past.

Approach of Kyda

Kyda approaches the body with a series of flowing soft tissue moves across the muscle fibre (Bowen Moves) at a pressure determined by the depth of the issue allowing a flick through the muscle, creating body balance between the muscular and skeletal systems whilst restores the body's natural flow of energy to the area.

This style of treatment restores the bodies natural balance and release the distortion and removes the holding pattern the body has become familiar with which maintains the imbalance and creates discomfort, lack of mobility and may cause organ dysfunction and emotion imbalance.

Through a series of assessments and observations the cause in the physical structure can be identified and released and treatment applied in three levels.

Level One The treatment causation

Consist of the initial treatment of the client and the primary treatment to relieve presenting symptoms which assist the client to regain their life back and the follow up treatment to determine the improvement of the symptoms.

Firstly the cause is identified and treated to remove presenting symptoms, Known as the primary cause/ issue a process of between 2-3 corrective treatment  the clients is treated and assessed to determine the success of the rebalancing of the body with a one week break between in most cases.

Level Two The stabilisation

During this process the body is suturally becoming familiar with the new balance and position that has been introduced by treating the primary issue after the Level one a period of treatments will be undertake to maintain the balance and assist the continual healing process and the client will become aware of the lengthening time of balance and stabilisation.

 Level Three

A continual programme is introduced and a treatment is undertaken on an as needed based when the client becomes aware that an imbalance is becoming present
