Kyda Muscle Therapy Training College has been born from the continual commitment of the Directors in identifying the changing demands of the community by providing products and services in the field of unique and beneficial Natural Therapies to the community.

The existence of community awareness is evident in the establishment of training in Western Australia and South Australia as a service provider of Kyda.

KYDA MUSCLE THERAPY

 

Certificate in Kyda Muscle Therapy

Course Outline

 

The Certificate in Kyda Muscle Therapy shall consist of six levels:

•  Introduction: The Orientation

•  Level One: The Foundation

•  Level Two: The Core

•  Level Three: The Extremities

•  Level Four: The Postural Mechanics

•  Level Five: The Integration

Each level consists of a variety of competencies consisting of practical and theoretical underpinning knowledge.

The following streams that will be focused and built into each level are -:

•  Kyda technique

•  Clinical observation and assessment

•  Anatomy and physiology

•  Anatomy of body movement, body balance and alignment

•  Core focus strengthening and stretching

Integration of learning with the combination of Professional development, Business Development and Business Management, Clinical and Professional issues.

Introduction: The Orientation

This one-day workshop provides participants with:

•  The history and philosophy of Kyda Muscle Therapy

•  An introduction to muscles and skeletal landmarks

•  Anatomical terminology

•  The introduction to the cross fibre move which forms the basis of the Kyda technique

•  Body stance and movement

Level One: The Foundation

Provides participants with an introduction to:

•  Theory and strategies for basic client assessment

•  Tools and knowledge for performing a systematic approach to client management and treatment

•  Anatomy and physiology

•  Basic assessment skills such as:

•  Identifying structures with palpation (touch)

•  Employing visual assessment methods

•  Using the skeletal landmarks for assessment

Level Two: The Core

Brings the assessment tools learnt in the foundation level into play.

Provides advanced assessment tools that will improve the time and effectiveness of treatment.

Introduces the assessment and treatment: Psoas, lower lumbar disc, groin restrictions and rotations of the sacrum.

These identify the causation of the issue and provide the tools and technique to facilitate change.

Kyda 3

Anatomy of movement is the key to understanding and interpreting the hidden stressors and causation of primary issues.

Assessment skills covered in this unit consist of:

•  Active assessment of body

•  Body movement and restriction

•  Posture analysis

Injuries of the extremities and their assessment and treatment are covered. Assessment skills for muscle and joint lesions are developed.

Kyda 4

This level adds depth and understanding to the previous levels bringing the course participants to a greater understanding and providing the ability of assessing and treating of many body postural distortions and mechanical disparity.

Areas covered are: - foot and leg rotation, foot inversion/eversion, lordosis, railway spine, anterior/posterior pelvic rotation, kyphosis, dowagers hump and scoliosis.

Kyda 5

Stagnant energy in the organs can cause a variety of issues.

Learn the tools and techniques that will assist in the treatment of many body dysfunctions and imbalances.

Internal organs covered in this level are bladder, ovaries, intestines, kidneys, spleen, pancreas, lungs, liver, gall bladder and breast.
